Algae calcium is an essential ingredient in the diet of a fresh eater. Algal lime is obtained from the seaweed Lithothanium Calcareum. This product has an excellent calcium (Ca) to phosphorus (P) ratio (420:1).  To neutralize excess phosphorus in fresh meat, the following dosages are recommended: 7g of lime per 1kg of beef muscle meat, while 1.5g of lime is added to 1kg of beef stomach. These doses refer only to the neutralization of excess phosphorus in raw meat and do not reflect the total calcium requirement of the animal!

ATTENTION: Complete neutralization is NOT recommended!

A dog needs both phosphorus and calcium, but in a balanced proportion that also depends on activity and age. Discuss the exact dosage with the veterinarian! An adult dog needs 50-90 mg of calcium per kg of body weight per day to maintain metabolism, a puppy - 100-200 mg/per kg of body weight per day, bitches during the lactation period - 165 mg/per kg of body weight per day.
