Duck neck
Duck necks are classified as soft/meaty bones.
They are good starter bones because they are relatively soft and easy to chew. Of course, duck necks are a real treat for any raw feeder. Remember to reduce the main meal portion when giving additional necks. Duck necks are also enjoyed by cats. We recommend cutting the neck into smaller pieces and pounding it slightly with a meat hammer!
Important: bones should always be fed raw (fresh). Cooked bones are dangerous for dogs.
Analytical composition: 16.9% protein, 7.8% fat.
Bones are an important component of a raw diet, supplying the body with high-quality proteins and fats, as well as essential minerals and trace elements. Bones in a dog's diet ensure the correct ratio of calcium and phosphorus levels.
If the pet is of a small breed, the neck should be divided into two meals, and it can be pounded with a meat hammer to make chewing easier.
Necks can be safely given either frozen or partially thawed, which makes the chewing process more suitable for the dog - that is, more challenging.
